Teenagers

Hi all,

Is it safe to let teenagers walk around Patong during the day on their own? There ages are 14 - 17.

Sure it is. Safer than Brisbane in all likelyhood ;) Teenage girls should dress modestly and boys should not be shirtless unless on the beach.

So long as the 17 yo is responsible enough to never leave the 14yo alone! I think the main dangers in Patong would be the traffic (pedestrians are at the bottom of the food chain and the footpaths are very small!) and getting lost (even though Patong is quite small, the chaos can make it seem intimidating). Not sure what teenagers are really into these days but the Jungceylon shopping centre in Patong has heaps of shops, lots to eat including Maccas and KFC, a cinema, a gun cafe (dunno how that works) and is pretty central. So long as they understand to dress and behave respectfully I can't see they'd have any problems.
