First Timer

We are a family of 6 who will be first time visiting Phuket. Im not too sure on where to stay as we are on a budget. Would love suggestions on rooms around 500 baht-800 baht per nite which is close to everyth.. CLEAN place.

I read that when travelling from Karon to Patong, the tuk tuk is about 200 baht? SO expensive?

DO u reckon we rent a van or someth? Pls advise.

You should probably look at www.phuket.com for hotels and info on locations.

200 baht is not expensive for six people in a tuk tuk. It is only about $8 after all.

I personaly would not go to all the hassle of renting a van unless I was planning on doing a lot of driving as the cost of transport in Phuket is very cheap.

Hi Blessed

Where are you wanting to stay in Phuket?

When I was in Phuket the cheapest I paid was 900baht for one person. I changed my location a couple of days later and that was 1200baht. You are going to have to research for something that cheap and for 6 people might be tough and not sure how clean it might be either.

guesthouses-phuket.com/phuket_apartments.php

These links will give you a "rough" idea what the prices are. They are usually priced on double occupancy so you might want to check out a apartment for a large family.

Everything in Phuket is more expensive than other parts of Thailand.

Good Luck in your search, If you would like more help let me know.

Hi Sandy and all,

I have searched and booked with CHarlemporn Guest House. A friend recommended it to me. And I am paying 600 baht per nite per room with window, and balcony.

Its near to the Banzaan Market. Near enough to Bangla road.

thanks all for your advise.

I have booked a day tour and hotel transfer from

Chay.
