Yes, probably get a bus from the main station in Krabi or a minibus could be booked from any travel agent.

Just got back from krabi last week. We arrived hat yai from malaysia via bus. Took minivan from agency tour in hat yai to krabi for 260 baht per person. The journey from had yai to krabi is about 4-5hours. Pkease purchase the minivan tickets straight away from the agency tour. Do not buy from the tout or u'll be charged double.

How far is it? From the bus station to the Tour agency? Is there any address/location?

To travel to Krabi just for one night is not really worth it, you will spend about 5 hrs getting there & 5 hrs back to Had Yai, it does not leave you much time at all to see or do anything. Krabi is a big place with many beautiful places to see. Maybe leave it until you can stay longer and just spend that time exploring Had Yai.

Yes, forget about 1 night in Krabi a complete waste of your precious time and as Cathy & Gary say, it's way too big to do it justice in 1 night or even 5 nights. Head out to Songkhla which is about 30 minutes from Hat Yai and has a beach too.

Thanks Cathy&Gary and Cassnu. Think about it yes is gonna be frustrated if we do not have enough time spent at Krabi. I should be contented exploring at Hat Yai & Songkhla and enjoy.

smartyaclm,

In case you really have time to move out from Hatyai for a night, perhaps you can consider Trang, which is about 2 hours drive from Hatyai.

In Trang town , they have roast pork as breakfast, go to the local coffee shop , order a plate of your favourite portion of meat and a cup of "local coffee". wow !

Their roast pork is not roast ribs but a whole pig. different from Singapore and Malaysia. it is roasted with coats of "honey". The next morning , you can join a short trip to go out to the sea for island hopings. Coming back is late afternoon (got to find out first). then transfer back to Hatyai (if you only have 1 night to spare).

There is also a stall selling very good Kh'eng Nong Chin (Thai laksa). very fresh and good.

also , a night market full of stalls and foods.........

Also...............

Only 1 night really cannot accommodate all these .

Cheers !

Please note: Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Songkhla are DO NOT TRAVEL zones due to multiple terrorism attacks on 31 March in Songkhla, Yala and Pattani provinces in southern Thailand. Take care.
