Flight Question

I'm still looking for flights but wanted to ask a question on something I noticed while browsing the flights for the last few months.

Getting flights to Kili is not a problem. However, the return flights I'm seeing from KLM (my preferred airline) frequently go something like this

Depart JRO 6am to Nairobi on Precision Air

1hr 15min layover in Nairobi then onwards to AMS via KLM

I'm curious if that 1hr 15min layover is ok? Is that achievable in Nairobi airport? Is Precision Air generally pretty good with times? Also would Precision Air check my bags all the way through since everything is on one ticket? I'm guessing so but just not sure. If I only had carry on, would I have to go through security again for the KLM flight or would I just walk over to the departure gate to catch my KLM flight?

Still going to wait until end of Feb to see if prices come down but just want to make sure of the times so I can jump on a good price should one come up.

Just discovered something you can do to check for seating. On KLM's website you can find a flight, in this case I looked at one I am thinking of booking. If you click all the way through without actually buying it, there's an option to pick your seats so you can upgrade. When you do that it actually shows you how many seats are still available in each class.

In my case I can see that on each of my legs has approx 100 economy seats still available. Might be a good indicator of whether or not a sale will come up. The more seats available, probably a good chance a sale might come up.

I don't think so Daniel.

I think that is just the number of seats that have not been pre-selected already. Not those that have not been ticketed for. I could be wrong of course.

The only time that looking at the seats remaining has worked out is when we are angling for an upgrade to business after already purchasing our tickets. I've never had it work for prediction of ticket price. But, I guess, never say never..... chris

It does indeed. and I would do it sooner rather than later. KLM are having a sale at the moment but only 3 months out. They may do it again for July/August but I doubt it. this is peak holidays.
