Hi, I need your opinion.. we have flight around midnight so we need to be on Mahe airport at least around 10pm. Is it ok to take ferry from praslin to mahe at 6 p.m or is better at 3 p.m. If we book the tickets online, place on ferry is guaranteed or not?

Thanks!

Hi Maja,

From Prasling via Cat Cocos takes 45 minutes to Mainland Mahe.

From there, if you are going straight to the airport, then that is plenty of time.

Town (Cat Cocos Port) -> Airport in Point Larue takes around 15 minutes. So 6pm is plenty of time.

However, please note in May/June is somewhat rough seas, so just in case please mind services *may* be affected.

Thanks

Thanks! What do you mean 'may be affected'. Can it be that ferry does not run because of weather and we cant't go to the airport? Is it better to book a flight?

Ferries can have mecanical issues but this is quite rare. It is better to book a flight because in case the flight is cancelled you have the option of other flights but in case the last ferry is cancelled you need to hurry for the airport and to buy the ticket on the spot if available.
