Buses from Anse Royale, snorkelling and other questions

Hello Forum,

We will be staying in Anse Royale this November and want to visit the Bazar Labrin on the Wednesday evening. First question, what is it like and is it worth a visit? And how do we get to/from there by bus from Anse Royale. The bus website states only certain buses operate in the evening but i could not figure out which ones.

Also looking for a company to do a day's snorkelling (and fishing if possible) - private charter or with others. I have contacted some of the companies listed in the activities section on TA, but most are focused on diving, and wondered if anyone has any other suggestions.

Many thanks,

bken

Hello bken,

you can take any bus from Anse Royale, because the ones with the direction town are all heading to the Bus terminal of Victoria. From there you can take the Glacis via Beau Vallon or the Glacis via Anse Etoile bus (La Batie and the Bel Ombre bus are also an option, if you miss the others). You should consider that the last bus is at around 8pm.

Kind regards from Seychelles,

the Seyresa team

Really good snorkelling off the beach in Anse Royale if you head out to Ile Souris

Well worth it

We visited the Bazar Labrin on a family holiday last year and really enjoyed the market stalls - a mix of souvenirs, clothing and local food and drink. It's a great way to meet local people and we timed it to enjoy a lovely sunset walk along Beau Vallon Beach - absolutely stunning! If you don't eat at the market there are plenty of restaurant options in the area.

Hello bken,

Wednesday bazar is a must, what I like most is the food: several dishes prepared by the locals which you can enjoy together with natural juices, palm wine or with a Seybrew. Try to get there taking buses no 21 or 22. Try to avoid the bus no 20 (Glacis via Anse Etoile), the one indicated by Seyresa because it takes 45 mins to get to Beau Vallon instead of 10 mins with 21 or 22. For snorkeling you can go on a day trip to St Anne Marine Park, you can use one of the companies that run this trip from Beau Vallon. You can book the trip right on Beau Vallon beach or by writing to Teddy Hoareau from Teddy's Glass Bottom Boat.

Hi,

if you want to visit Bazar Labrin, I would suggest you to take a rental car for that day.

Then you are not dependent on any bus and you can enjoy the whole afternoon and evening at Beau Vallon.

Cheers

Hi see all the world 6,

Good point. Am just looking into rentals cars right now. So many to choose from. Am thinking of getting one for our five night stay - so welcome recommendations but also going through all the older posts on TA.

Many thanks,

Hi bken,

I have a reservation for a car from economycarrental.com and got a good deal. As you may remember, my trip is not until December, but the company was recommended here.
