Jeep tours are run by different companies. You would have to contact the company you are interested in and ask!

I do not know if Jeep tours running. But if stay at Prima Hotel, you may be able to get Riyadh to help you if he is not working. He works at hotel, but does some private jobs and is very reasonable. a lovely man.

Regarding jeep tours, you would need to check with the companies, as rdglady said.

Regarding the other suggestion here - I want to make perfectly clear, I don't know anything at all about this individual - however, before one jumps in an hires this man - you would need to check if he has the proper licenses to provide these services. Leaving the legal issues aside, this could very well become an issue of insurance coverage, if something unfortunate were to happen.

While Oreet has a point, it would probably easier to find a non Jewish guide for such a tour in the Golan. Go to one of the Tour Guide Israel sites and do a search for Golan jeep trips only. A list should come up. There are some Druze guides that may offer such trips and would be your best bet due to the holiday.

Very strange replies here, considering that Jeep tours are run by private companies and individuals. Rosh Hashana is a typical Israeli holiday, with many local people on vacation, touring and visiting sites all over the country. Nobody "closes" the Golan to tours on holidays. Anybody operating tours will definitely be working that day, unless they are religious, i.e. the number of tours available will be the same as on any Saturday throughout the year. Contact the the operators and inquire !

Jeep tours are operating and so are hotels, restaurants and attractions. Those that answered otherwise maybe did not try to use these services on holidays. Now you got a recommendation to ask Riyadh in one of the hotels. He is probably a middle man and not a guide. When you get to your hotel look for a promotion booklet (at the hotel desk), or even ask for it. The booklet contains coupons to attaractions in the Gallili and many jeep tour operators are listed. You don't have to reserve, maybe a day or 2 ahead is enough.
