Decks restaurant?

Anyone know if they welcome kids for an evening meal? Do they always have fireworks? How often does the boat pick up people? Thanks!

And how far is the drive from kibbutz lavi here? Thanks again!

Pagoda is wonderful, as it its non-kosher (same food, but only open on Erev Shabbat) sister restaurant The House across the street.

Decks is a wonderful, open sided restaurant jutting out into the Sea Of Galilee. I had the St. Peter's Fish (tilapia) that was one of most memorable meals in Israel. There were two bat mitzvah girls and a bar mitzvah boy there the night our group visited, and it turned out to be a spectacular celebration. First, the light went out and a boat sailed up to the restaurant all decked out in red lights and red fireworks, so that it looked like it was on fire. Then the staff came forward with hand-held fireworks. This was followed by the families dancing the hora. It was a very special night.

One last question about it- is it pleasant to be there in the evening hours in August or is it just too hot & humid? Is there air conditioning of some sort to keep it cool even though it's an open restaurant? Thanks.
