Abu Hasan is open for lunch only. Haj Kahil at the Clock Tower square has two places. One is a restaurant (very good). The other one called Haj Kahil Express (If I remember well) is across the street and has good hummus among other items http://hajkahil.co.il/index.php/homeEdited: 1:48 am, December 13, 2013
I second Shoshi's recommendation for Haj Kahil restaurant at Clock Tower square. I dined there regularly and the food is exquisite and the service extremely attentive.
Fridays and Saturdays gets very busy very quickly though.
And I "third" that recommendation! Shoshi and her husband took me there for dinner, and it was FANTASTIC! I plan on taking Brett there in May -- great place.
Okay, you all convinced me, I am putting it on my list for our next trip.
On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays reservations are a must.
Thank you all so very much. Your info and suggestions are very helpful. - Eve
