unfortunately the resort did not meet our expectations. We booked through a travel agent and made the mistake of staying for 9 nights. Our eventual hotel bill came to $1800AUS for meals (other than b'fast), 4 games of golf and a massage each. Everything is charged by the Singapore dollar but eventually charged at the end of your stay (by law) in Rupiah.
The resort is surposedly only 12 years old, but appeared old, with door locks that didn't work, toilets that had flush problems, beds that were hard and uncomfortable, pools with mouldy surfaces and gardens that don't come close to those of Bali, Singapore or Malaysia.
Less is definately more if you intend to visit, stay no more than 2 nights.
If staying at Bintan Lagoon Resport be prepared to pay. It cost $7 SING for a can of coke ( then add 10%gst & 10 service tax), seafood is charged by the 100g (uncooked/unpeeled, ended up being $25 SING for one king prawn for example.
Whilst the prices were unexpected we made the best of our holiday, but we definately will never return and will advise frineds and family not to waste their time or money.
