Comfortable and Cheap Accomodation for 24-27 May

Hi There...

I need help to find a comfortable but cheap accommodation for me, my husband, and our parents.

1. We won't rent any car during our stay so can anyone advise us where to stay? Prefer a hotel/apartment that is near to the center of the city/FOs so we could walk and no need to take any public transport.

2. Where's exactly is the center of the tourism? We don't want to be trapped in a traffic jam (in case we need to take a taxi)

Thanks all... Appreciate the advise......

1) the term budget hotel means differently to everyone?? Can you state your budget so that we can narrow down the choices..

2) Just like Jakarta, it's hard to define where's the centre of bandung.. but the main touristy roads are jln Dago, jln Riau, Jln Cihampelas..

1/ YES, there is no FIXED city center in BDG, the visitors tend to flock in major shopping streets and choose accommodation accordingly.

The actual choice is between:

Jl. Dago

Jl. Riau

Jl. Chihampelas

Jl. Pasir Kaliki ( and vicinity)

Jl. Asia-Afrika

2/ for accurate hotel recommendation , please state your budget/ room/ nigh??

3/ <<o be trapped in a traffic jam (in case we need to take a taxi)>>

You `will be as anyone who travel to BDG has to travel across the city to get to sights and shopping. So using a taxi is INEVITABLE.

The main suggestion HOW to avoid traffic jams - travel on weekdays (!!!!) and stay at home on weekends/ public holidays/ festive season/ school holidays etc.

Hi,

Again, try the Bumi Sawunggaling Hotel. There are plenty of cabs and although the traffic jams to Tangkuban Perahu can be frustrating on the weekends, the jams elsewhere dont keep you in traffic for hours. Cars will move at a slow but steady place. Not like the jams in KL or Jakarta. In any case, you will be traveling very short distances between the hotels, shops, and restaurants. It is not likely that you are going to spend hours in a cab.
