Sanur for Christmas

We are thinking about going to Sanur for Christmas. We stayed at the Hyatt for our Honeymoon in Sept three years ago and would love to go back.

I could do with some advise on what the weather might be like, will there be many people about, is Christmas a big deal in Bali, places for lunch etc

Thanks

Bali is predominantly Hindu, but after spending many holidays in Bali during this period, we have always had a lovely Christmas in Bali.

The Balinese do make this a special time for visitors to Bali, ie hotels, restaurants and shops are decorated, very much in the spirit of the time and you will find lunch and dinner menus reflect the occasion.

December is in the middle of the Monsoon/Wet season and you have to expect rain on occasions, possibly heavy at times, higher humidy and warm days, but after many monsoon seasons in Bali, we have always found lots of blue sky and/or things to do when it is raining....enjoy.

The Hyatt in Sanur will be closed for renovations then.

I have a couple of friends who go for Xmas and New year every year and they always say that although it does rain most days, it is usually short lived and not all day.
