Shopping Map

Does a map exist that shows the location of most of the the shops that are frequently mentioned in this forum, ie: Ketuts, Matahari, Geneva, Diannes etc etc etc?

The Wikimapia map does show shops if you select that option, (but how accurate and current is it?)

Is there a more simple, printable map available?

OMG that would be perfect. Great post Greg but I have looked and alas not found one so unless some wonderful TA poster has put the time in to manually create a map and share I doubt there is anything out there ... yet. But I hope I am proved wrong cos wouldn't it be great. Maybe something to consider for us when we're there to give back for all the great advice we get on TA :-)

Hi Adex

We will see what turns up, to be simple it would need to broken up into regions, Tuban, Kuta, Legian etc.

Let's wait and see.

Thanks Linda, these sites will be useful.

You know in Bali travel brochures that you get from the Travel Agent, they use a map and number system to show the location of Hotels, that is what I think we all need.

Its not rocket surgery is it?

There are maps online that do show shops, but most are outdated or replaced,,there is so much construction and new building going on, it's not possible to keep current.

Hi Greg,

I've been to Bali many times but this year we were staying in a few different locations so I bought myself a Periplus Bali road map online. Took it with me and used it all the time, as well as studying it in depth before we left. It was only about $15 (?)

There was another online map "Map700" which was great, but it seems to have disappeared into cyberspace.

Waw Bepergian, great idea. Maybe there is a way to adjust the settings and have the map public so others can contribute? Or if you'd rather not share your file perhaps Bali DE can create a map and update as time goes by?

I created these for my trip to Bali in April. They don't include all stores, just the places I wanted to visit. Might help you out, though
