Hello SuffolkD. February is still in the Wet season in Bali. Expect hot and humid weather along with rain on occasions.

As for eating out, you will be spoilt for choice in Legian and Kuta and also in nearby Seminyak - have a look at the restaurants that have been reviewed by others - look under the 'More On Kuta'/Legian/Seminyak' that appears in the column on the left of these posts.

As for mosquitoes, we have never found them a problem in the many years that we have travelled to Bali. However, if you are someone who seems to attract them, just make sure you wear some type of screen (roll on or spray) and/or long sleeves etc morning and dusk.

Also make sure that you keep up the fluid intake (water) whilst you are out and about. Coming from England, you will be amazed how quickly you can dehydrate in Bali and it's not good.

Have a great holiday.

I looked at Kusnadi a couple of weeks back...very nice.

Teka Teki posted on here a few weeks ago about mozzie pad set ups that you can buy for $2 in the shops (Bintang supermarket)

They wrote; It is just a little electric heating pad that you replace the little mat on every night (Hit and Baygon make them). Prefer the Hit ones and never have problems with mosquitoes.

Make sure you wear waterproof shoes (rubber thongs, crocs etc) as the rain will ruin other shoes.

Take an umbrella (or you can buy there and leave behind) as it rains heavy at times but is too hot for a rainjacket.

And as already mentioned, drink alot of water.
