Air Asia to Denpasar

Hi

Has anyone flown Air Asia from Perth to Bali on the 4:50am flight? How was the flight and how quick did you go through customs/immigration etc at Denpasar Airport?

Thanks very much

We travelled on the Air Asia 4:50am flight back in October 2010, it definitely was early but the upshot was that the airport was empty when we arrived. In fact the customs staff were still logging on their computers! We were through customs so quick, so quick we were sitting in one of our favourite breakfast restaurant by 9:30am. It really wasn't too bad and we were travelling with a 2.5 year old. Can't complain about the time of the flight when we paid so little for it.

Hi suzan and welcome to the Bali forum.

When you land Terminal 3 in Changi, follow the signs for the Arrivals area. You will get an immigration card on the plane, but if for some reason you don't, you can complete one in the Immigration area. Having a pen handy is worthwhile.

Head through immigration with your passport and immigration card, then you'll get to the luggage belt. Compared to anywhere else in the world, the luggage usually comes off incredibly quickly.

Then make your way to Terminal 1 Departures Hall which is where the Air Asia check in is. You can get there either via travellators, free shuttle bus, or the free Skytrain; just follow the appropriate sign. The airport is very friendly to navigate, albeit incredibly big.

Since you're having to collect your baggage then check in again, I'd be leaving around 2 hours connection time between flights.
