Stopping on our Way Around -- Advice Sought

We are planning a 30 day trip to Europe and Asia with 3-4 day stops in each city. We are a middle-aged American couple. We'd appreciate recommendation for a reasonably priced boutique style hotel, sightseeing, restaurants and transportation.

Thanks!

What cities are you planning on visiting? And when are you coming? Weather in India gets very hot in April and May.

Our trip is in June and we haven't decided on cities. What do you recommend?

Thank you!

June is the hottest month in India. Temperature in Agra will be 100+. You can only do site seeing early morning or late evening. Daytime will be best spent in air conditioned hotels or some shopping malls.

Most luxury hotels are very nice and service is outstanding. But June is way too hot for India.

The Himalayas would be nice in June...Darjeeling, Rishikesh, white water rafting...trekking.

If all you have is 3-4 days in India then go to Delhi and Agra.

I agree with the previous post. June and July is hot all over India and probably rest of SE Asia as well. It is also the peak season for acute diarrheal illnesses, and later for malaria. You should consider switching it to April or wait till late September for temperature to be bearable.

For stay all 5 star hotels are equally good and safe. Avoid all unrated or lower than 3 stars at all times.
