You can start from Trivandrum or Kochi and can cover Munnar , Thekkady , Alleppey Houseboat , Kovalam , Varkala , Kanyakumari, Madurai, ooty , wayanad and coorg. You can just do the mix and match based on your interests

Hi ............Our idea of chillin is to stay in one nice place ..........nice hotel and go out touring on the odd day!

Where would you suggest we stay, good beach, maybe walking distance from village/town.

March will be sunny in southern India which will be completely contradicting from what you are expecting "chill". we have to prepare for summer :)

however the western ghat region would be more suit for your needs like kodaikanal, ooty, niligris, munnar,so on.

if you are interested in architecture, then you can also consider tamilnadu, where each city / village will be having atleast one heritage (built some 800 years ago) temples. also beaches in chennai, mahabalipura, pondicherry kanyakumari so on.

lol...he dont mean that kind of chillin...lol.. hes playin it cool....

if you are interested in architecture then madurai would blow your mind

the temples and the kings palace...

but for chillin, try goa, or even kerala... chennai is a city but it has a fabulous beach...sigh... but for chillin

its got to be goa... but i think the beach shacks might be coming down in march, it will certainly be getting very warm, into the middle 30's

try using the queens english when asking a question and you might get better info...lol

Hello,

Southern India - God's Own Country, anytime first in the list. Only competition is Goa (this is if you are passionate about beaches and party).

We can suggest you specific places if you can elaborate on your interests. From your tag, we are guessing you are a person who likes architechtural beauty. If that is the case South India has so much to offer, starting from Hampi to Hyderabad to Madurai to Trivandrum to Cochin and so on.

Or if you are looking for excellent place to have a relaxing and rejunevating experience, we would suggest the backwaters in Alleppey (Kerala) and the Tea Estates in Munnar (Kerala).

There are some facts which upholds Kerala among other places. So of them being

1) The shortest amount you might have to travel while on vacation for all the different experience

2) The variety of unique experiences (Back Waters, Tea Estates, Waterfalls, Elephants, Spices) - No other south Indian state can boast these

3) Cultural and historical values

If you can shed some more light on your interests, we can guide you better.

Hope you will have a great time whereever you chose to be.

Best Regards,

Sreejith P.C.

3 weeks is a long time to chill.......

How about sacrificing a week or so and visiting some of the amazing places India has to offer?

Varanasi / Agra / Jaipur / New Delhi perhaps and maybe Mumbai?

Just a suggestion!

For chilling out I would suggest Varkala in Kerala, a very chilled place. Some of the places mentioned involve a lot of travelling from southern India.

good point pussycat and travelling certainly aint chillin

to be perfectly honest chillin spells GOA, laying there by the sea

at a beach shack, just look up and a boy is there, drink? food?

and cheap... it certainly all points to Goa, Kerala is magnificent

but its more about doing stuff, and doing stuff aint chillin... lol
