Kochi-Munnar trip (July 20th to July 22nd)

Hi, i am travelling with my family.....i will reach Cochin on July 20th(Sunday) morning hours, and i have flight back to Bangalore on 23rd Morning(Wed'day) from cochin. So, i have sunday, monday and tuesday to explore Kochi in around areas. so, apprecite if you can help to identify the best places/route considering my short duration trip. (i.e. Kochi, Munnar or any other places in around).

You have only two full days.

If you reach on 20th morning, you can head straight for Munnar which will take about 4 hours from Kochi airport. You can spend the rest of the day and 21st for Munnar sight seeing.

22nd morning you can proceed to Fort Kochi where you can do some boat cruises and visit the nearby islands and other attractions.

23rd morning - If you leave early morning you can reach the airport in about 2 hours.

If you include Thekkady or Kumarakom, you will have a very tight schedule, which will spoil the fun of the trip.

COCHIN- MUNNAR(2N) - ALLEPPY(1N) –COCHIN

Day 01 : Cochin – Munnar(20/07/2014)

Arrival at Cochin Airport/Railwy Station and drive to Munnar, Munnar's mesmerising greenery, mountain scenery, calmness and cool refreshing air attracts honeymooners and tourists throughout the year. It is a weekend hideout location for domestic tourists during summer season. Watch the spectacular beauty of Tea Gardens. Enjoy the nature, where the cloud turns into mist, which may touch you with a romantic feeling. The Cab will stop many of the places on the way to enjoy the beautiful nature.on arrival check into Hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 02 : Munnar sight seeing(21/07/2014)

After breakfast proceeding to Munnar Sightseeing – visit flower garden,photo point,honeybee nest,elephant ride,mattupetty dam,echo point and Eravikulam National Park. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 03 : Munnar – Alleppey(22/07/2014)

After breakfast proceed to alleppey. Check-in at the houseboat which will take you to enjoy the magic of Alleppey by going on a Houseboat (Kettuvallam) cruise across the backwaters. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by getting a glimpse of the village life at close quarters; a unique and unforgettable experience. (Check in time 12.30 PM – A/C will be operating from 9.00 PM to 6.00 AM) Enjoy the sunset & stay overnight on the house boat. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight stay in Alleppey.

Day 04 : Alleppey – Cochin(23/07/2014)

After breakfast check out from Houseboat. With lot of memories, Friendship & Thousands of Photograph. The Cab Will Drop you at Cochin Airport.

Hi,

Its better to go Munnar on first day, and Kochi on second.

Kochi Airport - Munnar 2.5hrs (110km)

Day 1

The main attractions of Munnar are,

Blossom International Park – feel good natures touch, 3 km from Munnar Town and it spreads across 16Acres of Land. Boating, cycling etc. Activities are offered by the park.

Tea museum – It is first of its kind in India. Located in Kannan devan Hills. You will get a clear Picture of Tea processing and you can buy lot varieties of Tea.

Echo Point - 15 km from Munnar. You can Hear your voice back when u speak to the nature Loudly. The Children's loved it Very Much.

Kundala Lake-20 km from Munnar on the way to Top Station. Situated at a height of 1700 meters above sea level.

Top Station- 40 km from Munnar and it is 1,880 meters above sea level. Great view of the Western Ghats and the valley of Theni from Top station is really Mind blowing .

You can Enjoy lot Tea plantations on the way. Stay that Night at Munnar. Lot of Budget and Luxurious hotels available in Munnar.

Day 2

Back to Kochi early morning.

Fort Kochi - 13 km from Ernakulam and is famous for Chinese fishing nets, Nice beaches and architectural style of the buildings. The European style is clearly evident here and that makes this small town stands apart from other towns in Kerala

Jew Town- Jew synagogue (built in 1568) and is one of the oldest active synagogues. It is located in the old part of Mattenchery Town in Kochi known as

The Dutch Palace (also known as Mattenchery Palace) is very near to the Jew town, older than Jew Synagogue.It was built in 1555 A.D by the Portuguese . It have a gret collection of Kerala Temple murals, portraits and exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi.

Cherai Beach- 25Km fom KochiLocated in Vypin Island, Kochi, Cherai Beach is one of the beautiful beaches facing the Arabian sea. an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the long sandy beach.

Bolgatty Palace- one of the oldest existing Dutch palaces outside Holland This palace was built by Dutch in 1744 and is. Bolgatty palace is located in Bolgatty Island, Kochi. It is now converted into a heritage resort by the state.

Kochi good for shopping too. According to the flight schedule, you can go to Airport on that day, or Stay at Kochi that night and move to Airport Morning.
