To answer you:

1) Yes, it is rainy season in June, but it doesn't rain a lot in Bangalore everyday. Typically the trends are that it rains from afternoon till night/morning, so you can plan your return by seeing the skies. If you are lucky the rain gods will not pour on the days you are in Bangalore.

2) M.G Road/Brigade Road/Residency Road/Church St. and thereabouts are good locations to stay at. They are central and lot of branded shopping is located right there. I would not recommend Majestic as it is fairly crowded although it is very close to the main bus and railway station (if that is your priority). You can check Shelton Grand hotel on church street.

3) Sight-seeing: Bangalore has a Palace and some other places for sight-seeing. There are many city tour buses which can be booked which take you round the sight-seeing places for 1 full day. Mysore can be done in 1 full day provided you leave early in the morning. You can take a car and he will take you around and then drop you back to Bangalore in the evening. You can ask him to include whichever places you desire according to interest like, zoo, palace, KRS dam etc. In Bangalore you can go to Bannerghatta National Park to see animals if you have the interest.

Hope this helps

Hi,

June is a rainy season but generally Bengaluru doesnot witness much rains.

Majestic is closeby to the City Railway Station & Bus Station & also close to wholesale markets.M G Road is in the midst of shopping hubs, including M G Road,Commercial street & Brigade road & Metro station.

Majestic is advised incase of your preference to stay near market.Majestic has lots of hotels depending on your preference.You can try Sukh sagar(Gujarati type veg),Kamat Yatri Nivas(Karnataka cuisine restaurant),Adarsh,Bell,JP Royal,etc;

You can travel to Mysore for a day's sightseeing.Leave early morning & get back by late night & cover Srirangapatna,Mysore Palace,Zoo & Brindavan Gardens.

Bangalore local sightseeing can be covered in a day.You can also try Bannerghatta National Park in Bangalore with safari & Butterfly park.

KSTDC conducts Mysore sight seeing tours & have office close to Majestic, else u can book a cab & travel on your own too.

Deepak

Ruchi,

Expect some rain in June.

Where to stay depends on what you want to do. If you are travelling for work & sightseeing, you could look for options near your place of work. If only for sightseeing, you could stay somewhere central, in & around MG road. You don't need to stay near Majestic unless it is for the convenience of catching an early morning train or bus. Or, unless places around MG road are not within your budget.

For places to see within the city, see the Bangalore guides using this link:

tripadvisor.com/Travel_Guide-g297628-Bangalo…

If you've already seen this and are not satisfied, I don't know what recommendations to make as Bangalore does not have any more options other than what is mentioned there. For travelling around Bangalore, you are already planning to visit Mysore & Srirangapatna. Other than this, what type of place would you like to visit? Based on that, another option for a day trip can be suggested.

What specific suggestions are you looking for regarding the zoo visit or hiring a vehicle? The Bannerghatta zoo can also be accessed by bus. There is a frequent bus service from Majestic.
