Hi All

Me & one of my friend had planned to visit Manali next week. We will be reaching Manali on Sunday morning i.e 07th July.

Is it ok to travel in next week as weather predictions says that it will be raining heavily in next week & there are chances of flood.

Please advice us......

Hi..

Yes, heavy rain is forecasted specially in uttarakhand and some parts of himachal from 5th-7th..

Currently manali is clear, bit showers..road is clear..

Flood isn't an issue for manali in this week..but weather may cause halt in sightseeing and trip.

No forecast of heavy rain in Manali, as per the local meteo office. Today its sunny, no rain. yesterday light rain was there. I don't think there would be drastic climatic change in next 3-4 days.

Hi all,

Saw the updates on the weather, thanks. Below is the itinerary that we have planned. Please advice if its fine to travel without making stay arrangements(At Manali & Shimla)..? Also is it easy to hire a bike at Manali and advisable to ride to Rohtang...?

6th July Board Volvo from Delhi to Manali

7th July - Arrive Manali in morning. Visit Hadimpa Temple, local market & Vashisht

8th July – Full day excursion to Rohtang Pass & Solang Valley. paragliding at Solang Valley

9th July – Full day excursion to Kullu, Naggar Heritage Village, Naggar Castle, Roerich art gallery. Later board overnight Bus to Shimla

10th July – At Shimla, sightseeing of city + shopping

11th July - After check out, proceed to IXC. Board flight back home

Thanks

Arun

Is this safe to move to manali at this time?

Will it be advisable to move to rohtang and solang vally at this point?

Manali seems safe and weather is still friendly, so, get your baggage done. Rohtang had snowfall yesterday. Hence, you'll get fresh snow to enjoy ski.
