Hi Kunwar N,

2nd July (half day; post 2 pm) : Take a cab to be dropped at Hidimba Temple, visit the temple and walk down towards club house road ( ask anyone for direction ) and from the club house road there is a forest park entry gate, just before the bridge....enter the gate and walk down until you come out at Nehru Park through the walkway in the forest park. (Beautiful views of river Beas flowing on you left.)

3rd July (fullday): Visit only Rohtang. ( avoid going to solang today)

4th July (full day): Take and excursion to Naggar visit Nagar Castle, Roerick art gallery and Jana fall.

5th July (Full day) : Visit Solang Valley with picnic lunch and take a ride of the cable car, later enjoy some games like Paragliding, horse Riding and Zorbing. Enjoy your picnic lunch somewhere on the left slopes of Solang.

6th July (full day). Get dropped by a cab at Vashish village, visit the temple and hot spring and later take a pleasant hike to Jogini fall with a local guide and walk back till the Hotel. ( the guide can be arranged from any small travel agency in Manali )

7th early Morning leave for Chandigarh.

Cheers!!!

Wow, that reply was quick. many thanks. We should have a car, but do not mind a cab. Could you throw some light on the following:

- Which sectors should we do by Cab/ by own car (eg Solang, Nagar by car, Rohtang by cab)

- We might be interested in paraglyding, can we do this on the solang day?

- 3rd July is Tuesday . someone mentioed Rohtang is closed. please confirm.

- Also heard Rozy and Rahala falls are very good, can you suggest if they can be fit in with your suggested itenarary.

Thanks and regards,

KN

Dear Ashish, you are a knowlege bhandar. Wow!

by any Can you recommened a Cab company for a day round trip to Rohtang? how much should it cost??

Also, on your above recommendation for july 6th; Isnt Solang Valley and Naggar in opposite directions from Manali??? I thought Naggar is South of Manali and Solang Valley North of Manali.

regards,

KN

Seems sarcastic !!

You may contact Mr. Vivek, Trip Manali Holidays C/O Ashtvinayak Tours & Travels +91-9816024288. Mobile: 09736418088, tripmanali@yahoo.com

for car rentals. Rohtang will be @Rs2700 (Innova), Rs.2000 (Indica).

Though the places are about 30 kms apart but that can be done in halfday trip.

Thanks AshisRoy for all your inputs. By "Knowldege bhandaar" , I meant knowledge warehouse. "bhandaar" = storage.

I do recognize, by reading it now, that it can be construed the other way. Apologies for that.

Your inputs have been wonderful and very well thought of. They will be very useful. Thank you so much.

many regards,

KN
