South Goa Beach Huts?

Not long until i leave!

But we are looking to visit South Goa beach huts for a few nights.

Where do you all go? there are so many! Palolem, Cola Beach, Agonda, Ashvem to name a few!

I realise it is all down to personal choice, but would like some views.

Thanks EB

I like Agonda myself, but you're right it's all down to personal choice. I've been to Palolem for the day and it was a lot busier than Agonda - it all depends how busy you want it. Can't comment in Cola Beach as I've never been. Ashvem is in north Goa though i've never been there either.

Agonda is our fave...

peaceful and quiet lots of places to eat and stay in basic huts if you want.

Cola beach is mostly private hire tents and huts. Lovely little beach though worth a trek down the hill for a day.

Not everyone can get on with beach huts, a place thats in a great place at Agonda beach is www.mariapauloagonda.com run by a lovely family, ideal for a few days break.

Agonda for me everytime, beautiful beach, lovely little village and lots of surrounding jungle and greenery to explore. Each to their own but Cola beach has never done it for me as there's no atmosphere or life. Probably great for a couple though as very peaceful and a lovely rocky beach beach with a lagoon and no hint of 21st century north Goa!! Get choosing EB!

Thanks everyone....

But i should have set the scene!

I am going with my partner we are both in our late 40's

We like eating & drinking!

Prefer quiet bars, dont mind some entertainment music etc

Not night clubs!!!

Like chilling on the beach, having a nice quiet stroll, lovely dinner few beers G&T's then off to bed!

Go for Agonda then EB you won't regret it. Lots of choice of places to stay for a nice treat. The guesthouse above tipped by Phil is brilliant if you don't fancy a beach hut. We are staying in www.agondawhitesand.com and we stayed at www.jardim-a-mar.com last time. Good luck and if you need any further help then don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks again everyone, looks like Agonda it is!

Can you normally just turn up & book a beach hut for a couple of nights?

We have never booked and always found a hut...sometimes very basic and sometimes with attached shower...but its all in the spirit of adventure and we love it.

We call at Madhus for a meal and Shekar puts the word out and gets us a hut if he does not have one. Been going for years now.
