We are heading to Honduras for a couple of weeks in Aug. We will spend time in Copan and diving in Roatan. We would like to spend a few days on the north coast, visitng Jeanette Kawas National Park and the Cuero y Salado Reserve. The mangroves and wild life sound great.
We are a family of 4 and will have a rental car. Where should we stay? Tela doesn't sound too interesting. Is there a good base from which to explore these parks/reserves? If we have three days, should we spend all three here in the Tela area? Or two here and one near Pico Bonito. We are more in to nature than the cities. Thanks for advice. Looking forward to Honduras!
