what to bring?

We will be staying at Turtle Island in June. We are trying to figure out what to bring... Do we need our own bug spray and sunscreen?

With the 33lb weight limit for the seaplane, we want to keep it to a minimum.

Also, does the 33lb weight limit include your carry on, or just your main bag?

Thank-you

The majority of resorts supply insect repellant and insect spray. However, it it advisable to take some of your own as it is expensive to buy in Fiji. We take the roll-on variety which you can keep in your pocket or purse. Handy if you are having a drink outside and are attacked by mossies Take your own sunscreen, plus 30 at least, as it, too , is expensive to buy.. .I think that your baggage allowance is great, we Aussies are only allowed 23 kg. Your allowance is for checked in luggage only..

Would contact Turtle Island as to whether or not they supply bug spray/mosquito repellent, and sunscreen, or if there is a charge. Have never heard of a resort supplying sunscreen. If the resort charges for bug spray/mosquito repellent, would take it with you. Have found it expensive at resorts

Coming from the states, you will need an adapter angled for Australia for charging camera, laptop batteries, etc. We take a small power strip. Allows us to charge more than one battery at the same time. We also take a small first aid kit: anti-itch spray for bites, anti-biotic cream for cuts, bandaids, hydro peroxide for cleaning cuts or bites, aspirin, and any other over the counter medication we think we might need. You might take citronella candles to burn while sitting outside your bure in the evening. Have found they help keep the mosquitos away.

The following has other suggestions of what to take with you.
