security situation in Siani?

American will be arriving near boarder on Wedsday evening, taking a bus from Telaviv to Elait. I want to go diving. Would love to cross over into Siani but last week two American women were kidnapped there for a few hours and the situation is heating up with the Arab spring/elections and so on. What do you think, stay on the Star of David side or cross over?

A reply to post No 9. If more women had a little more respect for Islamic culture then they might not get so much grief. Ibiza and the costas of Spain are really the places to "dress as you like",and not Islamic countries.

And before you want to strangle me, let me assure you as someone who has visited most of the Islamic in the world, that Muslems have huge disrespect for culturaly insensitive women. Sorry to say it ,but that is fact.
