Hello

Its one of my favorites beaches in Ecuador, fun, sunny, few bars, late nov and Dic nice weather is the binging of the hot season. The best hotel in Chipipe is hotel Amira www.hotel-amira.com, nice house converted in hotel, just make sure they don't any even on your stay. The Chipipe beach is long nice you can rent a parasol for $4 a day and people and can buy beer directly from the local vendor's great to relax.

If you are looking for more fun Montanita is almost the same distance from Guayaquil, there is a great hotel call balsa surf camp, you can even have classes of surf and Montana has parties every night.

Salinas has a nice hotel call Barcelo Colon Miramar just in front of the beach, casino and pool, the food is ok, another option also can be hotel Cocos in Salinas that is also in front of the beach but at night can be little noise.

I hope this information will help you fine the best option

Regards

AC

Salinas is great. Instead of staying in a hotel, why don't you rent a condo? I think it might be cheaper and you can be right in the center of the action.

Hi, we are going to ecuador in jan and staying for 3 mos., salina was a place we were thinking of renting a condo for at least a couple of months. You mentioned it was great....can you tell me a bit about it...do you know of any condos that do rent for a couple months at a time. Is Salinas a good choice for this length of time? Thanking you in advance. :)

Hi! We're from Ontario too. We have a condo, but it has limited availability from Jan to March. Check the calendar. Three months might be a bit long. It is a very quiet area. We visited Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca. In Salinas, it's basically the beach. If I were you, I would like to experience a little bit more of the country.

Oh ok, but would or could it be a good home base, as we love the ocean? Maybe leave for a week or so and discover Quito? The place we are looking at to rent is cheap, clean and not far from the beach. We figure it is a good place to leave our stuff and discover Ecuador, and, even go down to Peru for a few days. Is this a good idea?
