how many days in Puerto Lopez?

We're trying to plan an upcoming three week trip to Ecuador in July. We want to go to Puerto Lopez/Los Frailes/Isla de la Plata. How many days would we want to be able to explore these areas? Would 2 full days be enough, or would be want more time, or be bored with more time?

Thanks much!

July is a excellent time of the year to do whale watching in Machalilla national park, the weather is not the best but the temperature of the water is good, most of the time the sky is overcast but outside temp is around 72. I personally think that you will need to visit all the area no more than 4 days, 1 day to do La Plata, 1 day to explore agua blanca and Los Frailes beach and if you are more adventurous you can do diving for spondylus shell our horse back riding in the reserve there are many alternatives to do, if you hire a car is much easy, you can pick up the car from manta and drive south on the route of the sun and you will get to machalilla national park, also not far from the area is Montanita excellent for surfing!!! If you are more interested I can help you organized a nice trip on the cost of Ecuador we do this all the time
