Road trip to Atlantic City/Jersey Shore in July

Hi

My friends and I will be renting a car in Paramus and take a road trip down to Atlantic City (first time) only for few hours, and then from there go to Wildwood for few hours, and then maybe to Long Branch, and after back to Paramus. I know it's a long trip, but we would like to see all 3 places only for few hours each. Where can we park in Atlantic City near the boardwalk, beach and casinos? Is it free or home much? Please share advice.

I'd suggest Caesars self park garage. If you don't already have a total rewards card stop at their desk to get one, it's free and with the card parking is normally only $5.00. Caesars is centrally located in the boardwalk and directly in front of you as you get off the AC Expressway.

I second parking at Caesar’s except I would also suggest the next-door Plaza as it may not be as busy and also normally only $5. But all bets on those prices are off if there’s a big event going on, then they usually charge whatever they can get….

Park at Revel it's on the boardwalk. Sign up for a Revel Card and parking is free during the month of June. Why pay if you don't have too?

Instead of Long Branch I would suggest stopping in Asbury Park. There isn't much to do in Long Branch unlike Asbury Park which has an interesting boardwalk.

yes, I'm curious why you chose Long Branch. Also, I hope you are not planning on this trip on a Saturday. Traffic going from Paramus to AC on a Saturday could be horrible, unless you are leaving at 5 AM. Then down to Wildwood would be just as bad. And it would be the same thing in reverse, if you are doing this on a Sunday. Just want you to be aware.

>>Atlantic City (first time) only for few hours<< I suggest to park in a casino garage as the parking price is an in&out fee. If you get delayed somewhere, it wont be an issue. Both Ballys & Trump Plaza have beachbars & are centrally located ~ I see you're driving, but you can visit for a soft drink & a snack instead of liquor.

As has been suggested, the day of the week you are planning to do this is critical. If for some reason you had in mind to do this on a Saturday, it will be impossible because of vacation rental traffic.

Thank you all. This trip will most likely be done during mid-week in middle of July. I heard that Long Branch is the closest one from Northern New Jersey and that it is nice and beautiful. I will check into Asbury Park though. Thanks all of you! $5 for parking isn't that bad; I was expecting more.

Any of the shore towns in Monmouth County are near Northern Jersey so it really doesn't matter which one you visit as far as distance is concerned. You mentioned nice and beautiful. If that is what you are interested in then Spring Lake is the one, not Long Branch:

and in case you want something quite different:

Long Branch is only 2 miles from Monmouth Park - Always worth a visit !

....Unfortunately, live racing (Daytime Thorobred), is only Fri / Sat / Sun .

Parkway exit 105, then Rt 36 east ,to beach - unless you know the short way - then that's exit 109 from the North.
