Please see this topic:

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g29750-i78-k693958…

it goes on and off about what to do, but there are some great ideas and links there if you are looking for ideas.

I personally enjoy a nice stroll along the boardwalk.....shopping in the 99 cent and souvineer shops, getting a massage and eating.

The mini golf course wasn't mentioned....opposite Boardwalk Hall. I think the url is www.acminigolf.com...not sure

Definitely walking the boardwalk is part of the AC charm. There is such a wide range of people on the boardwalk that its fun to watch. The new shopping pier across from Caesar's is open. There is also a nice strip of outlet stores on the main street into AC.

With our children we have also found going on a short trip to Ocean City or Cape May to be fun. Nice beaches, family-friendly boardwalks with rides/attractions, and nice seafood restaurants. Cape May is about 30 minutes south and has a nice area of Victorian homes to see.

If you are in AC for longer and are bored, consider driving straight down the AC expressway to Philadelphia. I think it was an hour or so.

Farther, and you can take a car ferry from Cape May to Delaware, near Rehoboth Beach, which is pretty similar to AC, except no casinos or large hotels.

We did this last August and it was a fantastic ferry ride over The Delaware River. It really breaks up the week if your staying in AC 4 or more days. Plus they have great shoppng in Rehoboth along with a beautiful boardwalk & beach.

For the price it is well worth it. We did the foot passenger option & they have shuttles that pick you up and drop you off at all the points.

I highly recommend it to anyone staying in AC for more than 4 days just to break up the week and take in a fun boat ride & sightseeing tour for the day.

CHEERS !!!
