Borgata gift event

If anyone has done this gift event before maybe you can help me with a couple of questions. I was invited to this event for the first time and have $200 shopping dollars. The email I got stated to go to the event center to pick up your gift. Am I reading too much into this in that you can only select 1 gift or can you select multiple gifts up to your shopping dollar amount? The event center, is that the room just past the poker room where they normally give out promotional items that I thought was the Signature room. Is the event center the area where they have entertainment?

On my "My Offers" page there were separate entries; one for the amount I'd been awarded & another entry to reserve. I was going to doublecheck it and try to copy it to show you - but no matter how I try to access the Borgata website right now I keep going to a page that says the site is under construction. It almost seems as if their website has been hijacked.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Well, the website seems fine now. Below is exactly how the entries appeared on my "My Offers" page (although I removed the actual $ amount).

Other $(Amount) Shopping Dollars for the Holiday Gift Event 11.15.13 - 11.16.13

I had to call them the other day because my Mystery Dollar "amount" never displayed on the Mystery Dollar offer. Guess there's a glitch every once in a while.

I went to the gift event today and it was packed though it did move along. It took me about an hour from arrival to the time I left. Upon arrival I found the line from the event center back to the music box. They were letting about 25 people upstairs at a time. Once upstairs you wait in another line to register. This line moved pretty fast. From there you take the slip they give you into the main room where all the gifts are displayed. You grab a small business card for each gift you want and take that to the check out line. This line was huge and moved slow. Upon checking out you present your registration slip and gift cards. They scan them in and present you with a receipt. Shipping to your home is free and takes 4-6 days. Considering the number of people participating it went pretty smooth. I had $200 shopping dollars and there were people I saw with over a thousand shopping dollars.

I went down Friday night and went to the event at about 9:15 pm and just about walked up to the registration desk, into the merchandise room to pick out my gifts, off to the register to pay and all in under 25 minutes. Considering it took me 20 minutes to decide what I wanted it was very organized and fully staffed which made it very easy. The key was to go late. Last year I went Saturday afternoon and encountered the long lines mentioned in a previous post and it did take about 45 minutes to get through the process.

Thanks jeerysnj and Casinovisitor for posting your experiences for the Gift Event.

I liked a lot of the gifts they were offering this year in the catalog, but since i only had $50 gift dollars to spend I didnt think it was worth it for me to make the trip to redeem.

Enjoy your new toys!

I had $200 to spend. I don't remember each item's prices. I got a deep fryer which I think was $75, a pair of walkie talkie and a scale.
