Trip Report, Resorts et al, May 5-8.

Stayed four nights at Resorts. The casino was busy most nights, we avoided the place during the day due to the construction. How many times do you need to test the fire alarms? Spent most of a breakfast listening to the fire alarm go on and on and on. Again the following late afternoon it went on for a half an hour...ridiculous. Ended up spending most of our time at the Taj, Showboat and Atlantic Club due to the construction and the lousy slot machine selection at Resorts. We did get a nice comped room in the Rendevous tower, the room was very spacious with a large bathroom. We did manage to spend a little time gambling at Resorts in the evening, but they really do need to do a major upgrade on their slots. Hit some good bonuses at the Atlantic Club and Taj on penny slots, the most for $357.00. The weather was cold, windy and cloudy until the last day when the sun broke through. All in all a good trip, we didn't lose as much as we budgeted so I guess you could call that a win??? We had a good time, which is why we visit AC.

Your last sentence is all that counts. Thanks for posting the trip report. I'm hoping Resorts gets their construction done soon and their slot floor is done right. They have a great opportunity with the new construction and I hope it goes well.

thanks for posting; I think resorts,is trying to do it the right way, I agree they could use a couple of newer machines but given time they are going to turn this place around.. how busy was taj? the atlantic club is making a come back; there mgmt. team should be commended on the job they have done. maybe there strategy of going for the gambler, with comps and free play is paying off...

The taj was not busy Monday but a convention came in and Tuesday and Wednesday it was pretty busy. The Atlantic Club was kind of quiet and the Showboat seemed about average attendance.
