CET Hotel Climate Control...

I was in Harrahs Las Vegas last year and noticed that the air conditioning shuts off when the guest leaves their room. It doesn't kick on again until after guests return to the room. I was told upon checkout that all of the Las Vegas CET hotels are like this.

Now I understand saving energy and all, but when I return to a room in the dead of summer in Las Vegas I don't want to have to wait for the room to cool down again My question is, are the CET properties in AC like this? I am staying at Showboat in May, but will stay elsewhere if the Las Vegas policies are being instituted in AC. Thank you in advance for any help here...

Not that I know of. I always turn the AC on full blast and when I return my room is like an igloo (just the way I like it!) :)

many of the CZR AC room thermostats automatically reset to a certain temp 72? 78? after a period of inactivity..... even if you are in the room but sleeping.

Its been like that for years.

It can be annoying.

Being a woman "of a certain age" and traveling extensively for work, (4 weeks out of 4) there are a few suggestions if you experience a sensor controlled thermostadt.

You can call down to maintenance and they can over ride the sensor. (I did that at Harrah's LV during my last visit)

Here is a link on how to bypass the sensor if you have one of these thermostats in the room.

To address your question about Showboat, I don't think they have a sensor. I put the temp. down to it's lowest always and I was not uncomforable at all during the night.

As recent as last week I’ve never seen anything other than a rather standard thermostat at SB.

How the small fridges work is another story, many have broken thermostats, run continuously and freeze everything. But that seems common lately also in many other casino/hotel rooms.
