I Hope Everyone Is Safe

I hope everyone is safe and dry this morning!

It didn't get too bad here in Northern VA. I didn't lose power. My thoughts are with everyone who was effected by the storm.

I'm O.K. The house didn't fare very well though.

Here in Northern RI lost electricity for 24 hours, back on now. Southern RI hit worse lots of power outages there still, although not like NJ and NY.

I was suppose be in AC these past three days, our bus trip has been rescheduled for right after Thanksgiving, so hopefully AC will be in much better shape then.

I just read some articles online, it reports casinos have not been damaged, no flood issues, just minor issues, like the J on one of the Taj signs came down.

We also just got our power back on since almost 24 hours ago. Otherwise, well fed and dry with only minor property damage. How sweet it is to be spoiled with electricity and nice cold drinks!

Sadly, current estimates are being broadcast it may take 4 to 10 days for others nearby to get power back. I hope that gets speeded up, and everyone stays safe and sound.

We had a great time in AC last week and hope to do that again soon.

The house in Brooklyn. Although I didn't loose power, everything else was damaged. The roof blew off with the winds and it was like sitting in a torrential downpour in the house. There was water coming out of every light fixture, and outet. Water was pouring out of the ceiling on both the 1st and 2nd floor. Massive amounts of damage. I will definitely have a mold problem. The house will now have to be gutted and renovated.

We were very fortunate, about 35 miles out of Atlantic City and we never lost power! Had a few trees down and some damage, minor...a branch went through the windshied of my father's car, but we are no where near the devastation felt up and down the coast. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who homes and lives were damaged and destroyed
