Resort hotel casino

I am staying at The Resorts for 2 free nights. I have not been there for years but it looked like it was going down hill. Has anyone stayed there lately?

lavi6.... Resorts has been my "host" hotel for the last couple of years. I think you will be quite happy with it. I have only stayed in the older tower rooms, but have absolutely no complaints with them. The Rendezvous Tower (new tower) has received really good reviews on this site from people who have stayed there; you should do well no matter which tower you stay in.

The casino has been spruced up as well, but Resorts is keeping with its tradition of having affordable (by A.C. standards) table minimums. There is now live poker there, if that is your bag. There are still a ton of slot machines, so no problem with choice if you like the machines.

Just beware the single deck blackjack tables; blackjacks only pay 6:5 instead of the usual 3:2.

Enjoy your stay... and post a trip report on this site when you get back, if you get the chance. We would love to hear what your "second impression" of AC is! <grin>

Money, where is the new casino addition? Is it on another floor? They only have one floor for gambling correct?

Thx

I am in the UK and no NOTHING about Atlantic City! I have booked to stay in Resorts from 20th to 25th October and am praying the whole thing goes smoothly. So i'm hoping someone who stays regularly or recently in Resorts and/or Atlantic City can give me some tips on where to go and what to do. This is a surprise trip for my friend's birthday so i wanna make it really special. Upgrades always welcome!

Money, they needed a bar. The last time I was there I don't think they had one. Is it a open bar, a sports bar?

Thx

Money, I have not been to the turning Stone in 6 months but I will be there the begining of November. I am not crazy about it but I have to be in that area anyway. They did not have a liquer license the last time I was there. They will however send someone to your room to pick up a bottle of wine you bring and take it to your table. How stupid! They loose so much money on drinks. I don't have much luck there, machines a little tight and the tables don't pay as good as AC. I am leaving for AC next week and then to the Stone and the end of Nov. I am off to Vegas.....should I call 1-800-Gamble? Oh, yes, I went to Foxwoods Sunday and lost my shirt!
