Borgata Players Card - Part of MGM?

We've never been to Atlantic City but have a quick trip planned in December. I thought I read someplace that members of the MGM Players Club can also get points at Borgata. Am I wrong in thinking I saw this? Just wondering if I need to take my players card with me or if I need to get a new one from Borgata. Thanks.

i would check with the casino, once when i was going to vegas i was told by borgata that i could use my borgata points at their vegas properties but i would have to go to borgata first to get an exchange voucher for use at their vegas properties, it didn't make sense to travel to a/c from new york to get the voucher

You would need to get a Borgata card. The relationship is casual. You can use Borgata points to buy Vegas trips; similar to credit card points.

I suggest u check because i remember reading a review where the person used to play at Mandalay Bay in Vegas and was able to get comps at Borgata.

You can't directly use your MGM Player's Card comps there (you can't swipe the card and use it to eat)

It's a different card at Borgata.

However, you can ask your host at your Vegas MGM property to contact a host at Borgata if you are a big player. They can then confirm your play level and give you an idea of what kind of comps to expect, but they may wait to actually see your play before offering you anything. Of course, this is really no different from what anyone can do, ask a host to evaluate your play at check-out and see what they can take off the bill.

For a casual player, you used to be able to convert Borgata comps into an MGM card for use in Vegas, not sure if they still do that though.

There is an MGM/Boyd - Borgata liason office in egg harbor. The executive host there can look at your Borgata play and get you comp rooms, shows and meals in Vegas and vice versa.

You can convert borgata comp dollars into " vacation " dollars which can be used in Vegas towards your room bill.

You do not earn comp dollars on the MGM/Boyd cards so that is not reciprocal, you earn " free play " in Vegas

You must get a borgata card, they are not interchangeable
