Slot Payouts

Where are the best slot payouts in A.C.? I am talking penny thru quarter slots. Is there anywhere to find out what the percentage of pay outs are. I know that in Vegas you find out what the payouts in different parts of town are, but I can't find anything about A.C.. I understand the dollar and quarter machines pay better than the penny and nickel machines. I wonder since things are bad right now if they have tightened the machines even more. Thanks

Slot Player Magazine has listings every issue for all the casino across the country. They are broken down by denomination and the "best" will usually bounce back and forth between a number of casinos with one being better with pennies and another with nickles, etc.

Here's a thought. With people driving 20 minutes to a local PA or NY casino instead of an hour or 2 to AC, saying why drive that far to put my money into a shredder (poor paying slots), why not loosen the slots. While I only dabble in slots I hear people say why drive that distance to lose when I can lose in a local casino that's a lot closer. What would happen if word got out that AC slots were actually paying out a few jackpots hit and your money would last a little longer? Smoking is another issue.

I live about an hour away from Charles Town, WV, but I never go to the casino there anymore. I'd rather drive the 4 hours to AC (or take the bus for $25 after $20 cash back).

CTown has crappy restaurants - just a food court and a buffet (which has improved but is still just ok). CTown's casino does not have an attached hotel, so if I want to stay there overnight I'm going to have to pay to stay at one of the local hotels. There is also no entertainment there.

CTown actually has tight slots too, but even if they were slightly looser I would still go to AC.

I think it is all a matter of choice. We have Racinos near our houses in NY, Monticello & Saratoga, which are pretty nice places, but we would rather drive to AC for the overall atmosphere. We love the restaurants, entertainment, boardwalk and if we decide to play the tables, we have that option.

So, I guess it all comes down to what floats ya boat :o)

I've had a protracted period of bad luck in AC, and I am one who thinks the slots are tighter than a year ago. Last weekend we went to Dover where I had a fair amount of good luck. I remember looking at the 800+ credits I had on a two coin quarter machine at one point and thinking," Man, it has been a LOOONG time since I've done this well. " All my friends/family have been doing pretty well at Dover as a matter of fact. We also saw Dionne Warwick and the O'Jays in a great concert, and my sister is platinum status there so we had Club access and a suite. All very RELAXING. Very happy at Dover.:)

I, too, strongly dislike Charles Town and rarely go there.

As others have said here, AC still has the best restaurants, rooms and comps and all those things plus the sea keep me going back every few weeks.

I'd rather drive to AC. They have the casino in Yonkers, if you want to call it that, but its a waste of time. They close at 2 in the morning.

I don't particularly care for the casinos in CT. Too isolated. I like to play the penny slots in Wild Wild West. I usually do ok there. Every once in a while I do okay in the Borgata. As many times as I have been to AC, I have never gambled in Harrahs or Trump Marina. Guess too much in a hurry to get to the Borgata.

You would be surprised how much nickel and penny machines pay out.
