To take a cab from Philadelphia to Atlantic City would be very expensive. Check out Greyhound. Make sure to book the casino rate, it is much less than the regular rate. I'm not sure where the Greyhound picks up in Philly (maybe you can get one from the airport - but you may have to go to the bus terminal).

Oakley, here are two websites I found about transportation from Phillie airport and Atlantic City.

cityatlantic.com/travel/philadelphia-to-atla…

http://www.virtualnjshore.com/actrans.html

The following companies offer shuttle service from the Philadelphia International Airport to Atlantic City hotels and casinos. Advance reservations recommended.

ATLANTIC CITY DIRECT BY ACADEMY BUS: 1-800-562-7272

SKY SHUTTLE: 1-800-825-3759

Have you tried calling the casino and asking what they suggest? They might have some ideas too and are use to people coming in from Philadelphia airport.

From Pittsburgh to AC it's about a 6 1/2 hr drive. Might be better to just drive then to fly and drive. Phila to AC is about 60 miles.

OAKEY.... Whatever time you may save by flying into Philadelphia will be offset by the cost and inconvenience of trying to get into Atlantic City from there. Sidmerkin is right: if you can drive to Atlantic City, that would be the way to go.

I live about 2 hours west of Pittsburgh, and I've made it to A.C. in around 7 1/2 hours, including a couple of stops for gas and a quick bite to eat. You should be able to make it in around 6 hours or so. Really, it's not that bad of a drive. You just need to avoid Center City Philadelphia during rush hour.

Atlantic City itself is pretty easy to drive in.

I agree. I am from Philadelphia. If you can get a flight into Atlantic City's airport that would be great. If you cannot change your flight, definately rent a car and drive. It is only about an hour and 15 minute drive to A.C. from Philly. And it's EXTREMELY easy to drive it. From Philly Airport take 95 north to the Walt Whitman bridge. Cross over it into Jersey. Go straight until you see signs for the "Atlantic City Expressway." Merge left onto it (easy). That literally takes you right into Alantic City. Oh, and bring a few bucks for tolls.. $2.50 to be exact. You'll be fine driving. That is definately your best bet.

Sorry for the repeat post- I was trying to disagree about how hard it is to get from Philly to A.C., but agree that driving is easy... Get it? Hope that helps somebody...

You can also drive taking I76 East towards Harrisburg exits 67 - 359. Take Exit 331A to I476 south which will dump you into I95. Take I95 south to Commadore Barry Bridge. Follow signs for route 322 East until you see signs for "Atlantic City Expressway", in Williamstown. Get on the AC Expressway straight into AC. Tolls for expressway are $2.50

Route 322 is more backroads. I don't know how long that will take you from Pittsburgh. You will have to YahooMap it to see.
