I'm going to Cartagena in two weeks. Please contact me at my email in about 4 weeks and I may be able to tell you.

Hi ,

I have just come back from Cartagena, after seeing my girlfriend.

Why do you want an al inclusive hotel?

There are many top class restaurants at very affordable prices.

So the basic ones are a giveaway.

The City is safe at night, the only thing that may annoy you are the vendors, and kids hassling you. Ignore them, they will give up, and go away.

I stayed at Hotel Casa La Fe, right in the centre of the old town.

It is a small hotel, but has all the facilities, and even a rooftop swimming pool.

The owner is English, so if spanish is not your thing, then he will guide in the right direction.

If you want anymore information, do not hessitate to ask.

Las Americas - by far. Great resort style plus free shuttles to the city. Best of both worlds

There is a good all inclusive resort call DECAMERON, you can even find ratings here in trip advisor.I have never been in this hotel, but it is pretty well known.

We stayed at the Decameron and loved it. We are going back to Las Americas because my husband wanted to try somewhere new. The Caribe is good if you are in the new wing.

The Capilla has a tiny pool on the roof, hot as hell and tiny slow elevators.

All inclusive is nice as a base. For a week you might not even want to go out to eat.

Las Americas... no-one beats their beach where security and cleanliness are concerned. Plus it's a beautiful, charming hotel with the friendliest staff i've ever come across. The Columbians mostly choose this hotel as well, which is a sign that it's not just for 'gringo' tourists!
