Hi,
I was thinking of coming to Chengdu in a couple days but am worried about the floods. Have they subsided?
Cheers, Josh
Hi Josh,
There is no floods in downtown at all,and it is safe to travel around this area. What you saw on TV may took place in some other parts of Sichuan Province.
Edited: 7 years agoYes, floods happend at other cities, such as SuiNing, Nanchong. Chengdu hasn't flood at all. So don't worry abut it.
Where are you coming from? The fast train from Chongqing was off for a couple of days at least because of the weather.
What about JiuZhao Guo?
Chengdu is pretty bad today the rain is just not stopping. Metro closed early today due to flooding.
Road to Jiuzhaigou blocked, but transit with flight is ok, it isn't raining in Jiuzhaigou at all these days.
The weather forecast said the rain storm will stop by 12nd of July, no worry.
No flood in Chengdu, so no worry about the city tour in Chengdu, such as panda base and Jinli Old Street. etc.
No flood either in Mt'. Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha.
No flood in Hailuoggou.
No flood in Jiuzhaigou either, but the road to Jiuzhaigou on land broken, transit by air is ok.
Actually the most part of Sichuan province is OK.
Chengdu is raining with no flood. But if you want to visit Jiuzhaigou, it is easy to enter because the road is blocked now. One of my friends is in Jiuzhaigou now and she cannot go out because of blocked road.
ok thank you. we are going to watch the evolution of the situation closely. we were worried enough to think of cancelling our trip but we keep on and watch the blogs...
