My daughter is working in China for a few weeks. She is teaching English to young Chinese students. She is being paid in cash (I don't know why) and needs to get the money back to the US. Any ideas that don't cost a fortune? She is a student and needs all she earns.

Thanks for any ideas.

1. Re: money

She can ask the people/school she is working for/with to change RMB to US dollars. It may take a couple of days or ask to be paid in USD.

Other than that, try money changes at airports. Westerners cannot change money from RMB to another currency unless they can show a receipt that changed it in the first place.

Are you worried about the costs of exchanging the cash (I presume RMB) to USD, or the difficulties/dangers of bringing it back home from China?
