I'd rather try dog meat than some of the stuff I've had over there. I'm a good sport though and never say "no thanks" when a dish is served. I admit I have almost vomited just looking at some of the stuff somebody decided was edible.

I'm sure smoked salmon with cream cheese on a white bread bagel would have the same effect on them.

Never encountered rats or cats.

I have often dined on dog. I have yet to see either cat or rat on an English menu. To the best of my knowledge I have eaten neither cat or rat in China. As stated earlier, dog is a higher priced selection and is not available in most restaurants. I have found it mainly served as the meat component of a "hot pot," although I have been told it is available in other forms.
