Siem Reap to Phnom Phen by boat

Hello everyone,

Can anybody please give us direction how to get to phnom phen coming from siem reap by boat. How much does it cost and how long is the travel? We would like to see the villagers along the river. We are going to cambodia next month. Thank you.

Just ask the hotel to help you get the tickets and also make sure that there is someone to fetch you from the hotel in the morning to the riverside to board.

The price should be USD25 for the speed boat and it is a six hours ride. The boat is very noisy, no stopping on the way and when you are sitting inside the boat, there is nothng much to see. But if you sit on the roof, you get sun burn and the spash of water to the face.

The bus to Phnom Penh is around USD10 for the better one and took same amount of time and will stop halfway for a rest and food.

Hope this help.

Thank you very very much!! That was a big help. We're having second thought to take the boat now.
