Eid is at the end of July so you will miss it by 4 weeks.

You need to have a think about what you want to do and draw up your own itinerary - the people on the board are not travel agents and will happily make comments on a suggested itinerary when you have written it.

As Latimer mentioned it is better to have a high level itinerary that others can review and comment on. During Eid (end of July) the attractions and malls will be open although they would be crowded. In addition to your itinerary, it would help to know your budget, your preferences of things to do and see and which area you are you staying.

Latimer is correct; there's simply so much to do it's difficult to know where to start. There are some excellent articles to the right of this page which you can use as a starting point.

What's your budget? What do you like to do ? Beach, culture & history, shopping, dining, clubbing ?

Here are a few suggestions off the top of my head:

- Downtown (Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, aquarium, fountains, ice skating, shopping & eating)

- Old Dubai (creek, souks, Deira, abra ride, dhows, Bastakia, museum)

- Mall of the Emirate, indoor skiing

- Cultural centre & mosque

- beaches & parks

- water parks

- day trip to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah

- trip to the desert (but you've probably seen one of those in Kuwait)

- adventure stuff (helicopter, skydive, seaplane)

Get reading and Googling.

At least you won't be surprised by the weather here :) (I'm going to Kuwait next week to visit an old friend).
