Hotel Taxes- pls clarify.

1) Can someone pls explain the taxes- Is it 20% in total on yr nightly rate? or 10% for the room and 10% for any other separate services used?? (I took it to mean 10% only is charged on the room rate.)

Opodo says tax will be levied on the amount quoted to me and gives 10% for room and 10% for services.

2) Golden Sands 3 or Savoy hotel apartments- which is closer to the financial area??

I want to be able to reach the bars/clubs in the financial district easily. thx.

3)Also, is 475Dh average nightly fee for Golden sands for a '2 bed' apartment??

thats 79 pounds a night which sounds about right for the 2 bed apartment. thats very cheap for dubai. just ask travel agent.

anywhere your planning to stay will be within easy reach of the bars and clubs. the only far out hotel is jebel ali and i know your not staying there because of budget!

all the cheap accom places your viewing will be fine.

Arranging few days on beach and fews days in the hustle and bustle.
