Hi every one! How is the situation with finding office work in Dubai?
Dubai is booming and there are lots of openings, but there are also lots of people who are looking and able to do office work.
Depends what your salary and career expectations are?
I am looking for around 12,000-15,000 USD monthly
I have been working for nearly 10 years as a secretary and a PA (for the last 8 years). But I was educated, trained and worked as a journo back in Bulgaria.
you want $15k US a month for being a secretary??
Well, I didn't want to scare you, just because I am still confused with the different currencies. I didn't mean USD, but $12K AUD. That is pretty much what you get in Aussie in reputable Co.
per month or per year? AUD12k is still AED41,000 per month which I think is an unrealistic salary here for a secretary...what sort of secretary are you-I mean in what field? To give you an idea, I am a manager with an international bank here and earn a little more than half that per month
We pay similar level/experience employees around 15,000 Dhs a month for that type of role.
which is about AUD4,300 per month
If find a job on that kind of money, get one for me to.
Dubai has a reputation for paying big salaries for jobs that they cant fill easily. Like the top level construction engineers etc. But secretarial work is quite an easy field to fill. What you also have to remember is that your salary is tax free.
Sorry to dampen your spirits but I think you need to be a bit more realistic.
