evening meal in a hotel

I was just wondering roughly how much a nice 3 course evening meal for two would cost with a few drinks in a hotel, tyring to work out how much money to take with us.

It depends what you have in mind. We stayed at Grand Hyatt on Bed and Breakfast basis. An all you can eat buffet breakfast sets you up quite nicely and we didn't really both with lunch, having perhaps just a bit of fruit and a croissant.

We picked up a couple of cases of beer at Dubai airport at the duty free shop next to the baggage reclaim as we knew we would have a fridge in the room to keep them cold. (You cannot buy alcohol from shops or supermarkets in Dubai, so make the most of this) This meant we could have a couple of cold ones whilst getting ready for the evening. We would then go for a couple of drinks, usually making the most of the happy hours. We would then eat a two course meal for less than 50 per couple with drinks.

Spectrum @ Fairmont - Pint of lager 24 AED, Glass of wine 30 AED, Sweet & Sour Pork and Rice 65 AED, Good Chicken Curry & Rice 65 AED

Andiamo @ Grand Hyatt - Lager 24, Glass of Soave 26, Bruschetta for 2 24, Pasta and sauce 48, Steak, potatoes & veg 95

Noodle House @ Emirates Towers - Lager 24, glass wine 26, Satay 20, Spring Rolls 15, Pad Thai 30, Beef in black bean 35

We budgetted 100 a day and bought half of it home!!
