Kids in Dubai

Been to Dubai a few times, but now have kids aged 4 and 2, so different experience.

Do you know any hotels which have family rooms?

Been recommended mina seyahi.

Jumeirah beach is silly money for small room.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Jumeirah Beach Hotel has some of the largest standard rooms in Dubai. 50 m2 aint bad.

If you need bigger than this, then a suite or a villa might be you best bet.

id second Tiger daly ,JBH is well know for the bigger rooms but so does the Grovenor house hotel have great suites and decent prices.

Ritz rooms are well sized as well.

Dar Al masaf expensive but very good and massive rooms.

sorry should have been clearer! Stayed at JBH a long time ago, so just gong from memory and imagining 2 lively kids in there as well! Been quoted almost double to stay there than any of the others.

I think The Hilton Jumereirah has family rooms, but wondered if there was anywhere else as well - will also look into apt at GHH. Will also consider 2 adjoining rooms - any suggestions which hotels would be best?

I think the GHH for the size will tick the bill but you will need for the kids the facilites at Royal Meridien but 1 minute in a comp shuttle car and all for free. But it will be a suite that you will need.

Grand Hyatt j suites are well priced as well (free mini bar), also have a look at emirates tower hotel.

South travels feature some fab apartments, namley the oasis beach apartments very five star and there is a new one called Bavari ?????, needc to find the thread they are are due to open in Oct with great rates. But these apartments have same facilites ie breakfast as a hotel.

check out : jebel ali international web site for the oasis beach apartments very flash.

Just be aware that the pool at the Bavaria suites will not be finished until March 08.

I know this because they were top of my must try list for November and on questioning the reservations lady they said that whilst the suites are available no pool or spa till March :(

Having said that this is a definite must ry for people considering an apartment after that date - it will have a kids club too.

Try the Ritz, the rooms will easily accomodate 2 kids. But if price is an issue I'd go with Sharons suggestion of the Grand Hyatt. OK it's not on the beach but the grounds and pool are fab and it is very central
