desert safari/safety

Dear fellow travellers,

I have booked a two day desert safari for mid october 2012.

It is a touristy standard route but it includes areas near de Algerian border: Tozeur.

What is your advice: should I cancel or not?

With kind regards,

Marco and Nathalie.

why would you cancel it? There are no problems near the algerian border...

Both the Thomsons and the Thomas Cook trips visit Tozeur and I don't think they would risk taking tourists into a dangerous area.

I certainly wouldn't cancel it.
