hire a car, driving in december is very easy and roads quiet. Trebinje is just 30mins from Dubrovnik and Skadar lake maybe 3 hours away.

There is a daily bus to Trebinje but it doesn't leave Dubrovnik until 1:30 in the afternoon. Here is the schedule: www.libertasdubrovnik.com/voznired.pdf. I'm not sure if you will be able to get back to Dubrovnik that same day.

I really have no idea if there is a bus to Skadar. Looking at this schedule it seems like you might have to first travel to Budvar or Podgorica and then change buses.

Thanks for bus schedule

I want to stay in Trebinje for only few hours

Do you know the border town between Bosnia and Croatia

Maybe I can get a Taxi back to the border of Croatia and then take a bus from there to Dubrovnik

Please let me have your suggestion for getting back

For skadar lake it is very complicated, first you should take a bus from dubrovnik to herceg-novi (montenegro) then a bus herceg novi to bar and from bar a bus to podgorica, but go out before podgorica to virpazar or vranjina (small places in skadar lake).
