Currency exchange- Split

Hello,

I will visit Split later this month. Is Euro commonly accepted or is the Kuna preferred.

Is it easy to exchange US$/ GBP in Split?

Also, could you suggest the best way to get to the city center from the airport?

Many thanks.

kuna is official currency, and euro is not commonly accepted, particularly with the new so-called fiscalisation law... and it's easy to exchange foreign currency as everywhere in Croatia, so in Split, either at banks, post offices or exchange offices. You can also get your money (kuna) from ATMs (please look at other threads on this topic).

There are two ways to get from the airport to the centre: by airport shuttle bus (when you exit the airport building far right) and by cabs, with the bus taking slightly, but not much more time, being much cheaper though.

Enjoy Split!
